Integration

Make the new pattern hold.

Four sessions. Five weeks. One deliberate pause.

Your body is already defending you. The question is whether it’s using an old pattern or a live read.

You can do your practice every morning and still lose the day to the friend, the sister, the mother who drains you and takes the opening when you give it. You can stretch every night and still wake up with the jaw clenched and the same hip grabbing on the stairs. That isn’t a discipline problem. It’s an old defence pattern, running on autopilot.

A Body Brief shows you the pattern. Integration is where you change it.

Why one session isn’t enough

Skills are perishable, like lettuce in your fridge. A new pattern is a skill. One session can show you the door, but it can’t keep it open. Left alone, your brain steers you straight back to what’s familiar. Your brain wants to keep you comfortable, even when you’re not safe.

What changes

By the end of Integration, you’ll be able to:

  • Catch the old pattern while it’s happening, not three days later.
  • Tell an old alarm from a live read, in your body, in the moment. That’s discernment, and it can be trained.
  • Hold a boundary when it’s tested, without bracing your whole body to do it.
  • Move and carry load in a way that’s built for your body, not for the person on the next mat.
  • Keep it going without me, because you’ll already have proved it in the pause.

Both rooms, every session

From the mat

Attitude, Awareness, Avoidance. Where your energy goes, who gets access, and how you hold a boundary when it’s tested.

From yoga therapy

Where your body braces, what it’s protecting, and how it carries load. You’ll work on your feet, in a chair and on the floor.

Underneath both: discernment

You learn to watch yourself think. Not the thoughts, the thinking. And your nervous system reorganizes around the new pattern, so it becomes a path for your future instead of a record of your past.

How the container works

  • Four sessions, 75–90 minutes each. In person at my dojo in East Vancouver, or by video.
  • Five weeks, with one deliberate pause. I place it after your second session or your third, wherever your body needs it.
  • The pause is part of the training. It’s where the new pattern proves it can hold without me in the room. You’ll write your Personal Code from the PEMS Hygiene Workbook and live by it that week, and I’ll check in with you once, partway through.

What’s included

  • Four 75–90 minute sessions, built on what your Body Brief found
  • The pause: your Personal Code practice, and a check-in from me
  • The PEMS Hygiene Workbook (fillable PDF), yours to keep using after we finish

Who it’s for

  • You’ve had your Body Brief and want the pattern rewired, not just read.
  • You keep handing your energy to the same people and situations, and you’re done.
  • You’re a returning client coming back to go further.
  • You’ll do the work between sessions. Integration isn’t for passengers.
